The Cat's Meow

China Cat Fancy on Nowness.com.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm destined to be an old cat lady. As depressing as that sounds it's true. Yeah, it's a little pathetic of me to say considering how young I am and apparently how much life I have ahead of me (still a college student here), but I mean seriously, who hasn't thought that about their future when things are looking a bit dismal and bleak. Most of the time I only joke about it, but there is sometimes that off chance that I do have actual worry in my thoughts. But if I'm going to be a cat lady, it doesn't mean I have to be some weird, croaked up old lady at the end of the street. No, I'm who I am and that means if I do eventually become the cat lady, I'm going to do so with style and attitude, and I'm going to own my feline repertoire.

And alas, my concerns have been met. China Cat Fancy is a photo set on Nowness where luxury show cats are photographed by Noah Sheldon. These cats are "China's most pampered cats" that finally got the recognition I believe they well deserve (besides, you know, their otherwise pampered life) for having to do all those cat shows. (My mother once told me that they stretch the cats!) The cats are either photographed by themselves in a very clean, crisp manner or with their human minions holding and gripping them about. My favorite photograph would have to be the fourth, where a gorgeous white-grey-tan cat's body is shown in profile against a  white background where his facial expressions show him to be very curious about something.

In all seriousness though, I do love cats. I love everything about them. The way we humans are their subjects, servants, minions, whatever, and how they have so much attitude. Cats are so impressive that they have their own walk named after them! So if I end up being an old cat lady, I'm going to own it with style and, taking notes from them, with attitude.

Meow,
Rebekka
