If I Was a Rich Girl

If I was a rich girl and I had all the money in the world to buy up all the things that make me drool, besides diamonds, ponies, cars, and champagne here are a few of my favorite things that make up my wishlist.

Although you can take a peak at them on the lovely slideshow I have created, for some reason, I thought I would rationalize why exactly I need them. These are more practical and realistic things that I put on my wishlist, things that I can actually plan on buying.

1. First and foremost I most absolutely definitely need the Longchamp Le Pliage tote bag. I feel like I want it in the navy but the other day I saw it somewhere in maybe a pinkish color so now I possibly want pink? But purple is my favorite color and the amethyst is so just beautiful, too... Of course, in a perfect world, (a world where I have all the money in the world) I would just buy all the colors! 

On a more practical level, Le Pliage tote bag is so perfect for my current [unglamorous] lifestyle. I like a very classic look, something that shows quality but is not definitely show offy, and that's what this bag represents for me. It's something that I know I could tote around–no pun intended– at school and easily go to the barn with it. It's washable, very durable, and can take on any look! I love my current Calvin Klein handbag, it's big, orange, structured, and beautiful but sometimes it gets a bit bulky and it's time for a change you know. I see everyone at school with these gorgeous little tote bags, and for good reason.

2. Second on my list is a new helmet. I'm an equestrian and my "barn look" is very important to me as well. As an equestrian, style and function are very important and must go hand-in-hand, that's why I want the IRH ATH SSV in navy. Just like it's time for a new handbag,  it's very much time for a new helmet. I currently have a classic velvet helmet from my hunter days in freshman year but I need to upgrade my look. I love the IRH brand, they are the only helmet that will fit my head like a glove, or a helmet... I want this helmet in navy but it's currently very impossible to find because apparently there wasn't a high demand for them–peasants!–so I might just have to settle for black (or black and grey). That's fine. But the look itself is what I'm also going for. Very stylish, simple, sleek, has air vents. I've tried it on, it's not heavy at all and I like how it looks on top of my pretty little head. Ha!

3. Again with the idea of function and style in mind, I am a very huge fan of the Sperry Topsider brand. I became a Sperry fan through my first pair of Sperrys I found at a Marshalls a long, long time ago and they are still going strong! They're nothing fancy, just a pair of brown leather ones but they have been with me through everything, from the stables to my first day of college and move-in. I can dress down a skirt with them or wear them with some jeans for a chill out night. Because they're so comfortable, I will usually wear them when I go for either brunch or dinner in the city, which also includes shopping and lots of walking around. I would probably wear Sperrys with a ball gown, if I'm to be on my feet all night. They fit so well with my on-the-go lifestyle, always on the run so I need something comfortable and stylish.

So when I found these gorgeous metallic navy Sperrys at a Journeys store, I had to try them on. In case you haven't caught on yet, I love navy! It's such a chic, classy, elegant but simple colour. I tried them and they looked so pretty on my feet. I almost bought them on the spot but I was with some other people who urged me to think about them and save my money. I wish I would have just bought them then and there!

4. Baseball hats are so simple but so very essential to my life. Not only that but I have a soft spot for the classic look. They hide my messy hair and protect me from the sun, since I'm in it most of the day. I can find one of my hats anywhere in the house and probably have an extra one somewhere in my car AND my mother's car. Going with the classic look, I want the preppy Vineyard Vines hat just because I want it. Simple as that. It's classic and pretty. This time, I don't want it in navy but probably in yellow, they had it in pink but it's gone now. I like to think I collect baseball hats. Maybe one day I'll have a proper collection but I have to start somewhere.

That's my list of the essentials that I feel I need in my life. Maybe it's a classic case of entitlement or maybe they will actually make my life easier, that's what I choose to believe. What do you feel you need in your life that's on your wishlist?
