Obsessed: Wool Hats

Millie Mackintosh from popular British reality show Made In Chelsea is known for her hats that she wears
Anyone who watches the popular British reality show is familiar with the ever glamorous and super posh Millie Mackintosh; and some of us, are obsessed. You could say she is one of my style crushes (but who's wouldn't she be!?); but I could write a completely separate post about her being my style crush.

One of the many things I've noticed with Millie Mackintosh is that she wears a lot of hats, and not only does she simply wear these hats but she pulls them off. I always wanted to wear hats but for some reason I never actually did. I was quite fond with the idea of hats; whenever my mother and I would go shopping, we would go to the hat section and try on various hats just for the fun of it, and it was fun! It wasn't until I saw Miss. Millie Mackintosh on Made in Chelsea that I gave consideration to ever wearing hats that weren't a baseball cap or knitted beanie. Seeing Millie wear these hats out and about and looking so stylish has given me that little bit of confidence for me to just go for it, and good thing too as I have gotten many compliments when I throw on a hat! To me, there is something so ladylike and an added chicness when there is a hat involved. It makes everything looks so much more put together. I also love that look when perfectly styled hair is peeking out from underneath a hat!

Even though we're still technically in the summer weather, on the colder or more fall-like days I always make sure to leave room for a hat to go with my outfit.

Currently, I have these two hats in my growing collection of wool hats:

Most recent acquisition: Felt hat w Chain in Carmel from ZARA
Genevieve floppy hat in cream from Cotton On
With my recent fetish, it isn't that my hat preference has changed but instead it's broadened; I have a new fetish or obsession with all kinds of wool and felt hats. I will go into any store, looking for and  trying on their hat selection. I have found out what I like and what doesn't suit me- bowler hats.

There so many kinds of hats out there, with different colours and shapes and sizes and I want them all!

Hats awaaaayyyyy,
Rebekka
